Our Logo

Our logo and what it means:
At first glance, the image depicts a sunrise over water where the orange represents Wabanaki territory, the dawn land and the blue represents Labrador and its waters, ice and snow.

Our logo design is based on the cross-section of a tree in which the rings represent the histories, languages, knowledges, cultures, and peoples of both the Wabanaki and Labrador territories, as do they represent how communities are building on their own respective histories, languages knowledges, and cultures to develop and lead approaches to research in their own ways.
